Paramedic Full Time
The Paramedic serves as the lead-worker of a two-person emergency medical service team. The position is responsible for responding to dispatched emergencies and transport requests and ensures that proper BLS and ALS pre-hospital care is provided. Manages the operation of an emergency vehicle and safeguards Lake Emergency Medical Services equipment and supplies. Maintains the security of drugs and narcotics. Prepares various written reports on actions taken.
EMT Full Time
The Emergency Medical Technician serves as the junior member of a two-person EMS team responsible for providing pre-hospital care to the citizens and visitors of Lake county. The primary duties of the EMT are to provide care to BLS patients and to assist the Paramedic in providing ALS care to patients.
Communications – Mt. Dora, FL – 3 May 2018
Performs all assigned duties at all call-taker or tactical radio work stations. Answers and responds to emergency and non-emergency calls to the Communications Center; enters data into database and transmit incidents for dispatching or other action; dispatches emergency response teams including medical and fire responders, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
