Lake EMS Joins with Community Organization to Offer Free CPR Classes

Lake EMS employees are in the business of saving lives and caring for people in crisis. Every day they respond to calls for medical assistance. Their commitment to helping people goes beyond their work shift. That’s why Lake EMS paramedics and EMTs will volunteer their time and skills with S.I.R.E.N.S. of Lake County to provide free CPR classes for the citizens of Lake County.

Jerry Smith, Lake EMS Executive Director explains, “We always look for opportunities to maximize our impact in the community. By joining with S.I.R.E.N.S.- a nonprofit community organization – we can reach more individuals and share vital lifesaving CPR skills with more citizens.”

Lake EMS crews and members of S.I.R.E.N.S. will be offering free CPR classes throughout the year with the first round being held in February:

  • February 4:  Umatilla Baptist Church                                                      10 am – 12 pm
  • February 11: Lake EMS Administration (Mt. Dora)                               10 am – 12 pm
