Lake EMS installing new safety messages on ambulances

Lake Emergency Medical Services began rolling out new messages this week on all of its ambulances to help reinforce safety throughout the community. The messages, expected to be completely installed over the next several months, will focus on a variety of topics, including drowning prevention and safe driving practices.

At the South Lake Chamber of Commerce 24th Annual Ambassadors Breakfast on 16 February 2018, CEO Clinton Pownall introduced the Public Service Award winner: Kimberly Stephens, Communications Manager at Lake EMS.

Kimberly has dedicated 29 years of service to the citizens of Lake County. She leads a team of 911 Communications Professionals that together helps to ensure our Public Safety System operates efficiently, while providing an extraordinary level of service. Her daily commitment to these efforts is what helps make our county exceptional.


True North Award – February 2018

Marco Gallardo, Telecommunicator I, received the True North Award at the Lake EMS Board meeting on 13 February 2018. Mr. Gallardo went above and beyond what his normal job duties require of him on two separate occasions.
