Paramedic/Field Training Officer Jonathan Carey and Emergency Medical Technician Trisha Livingston were presented with the True North Award at the Lake EMS Board Meeting on 7 February 2017.

This award is given to Lake EMS employees who have performed their jobs with extraordinary excellence.

The True North Award is founded upon the principles of fairness, kindness, dignity, charity, integrity, quality and service.

The True North Award is the highest level of recognition given at Lake Emergency Medical Services and honors notable accomplishments performed while on or off duty.

The plaque reads: In recognition of excellent and exemplary service to Lake EMS, Inc. and the communities we serve.
